My Stained Glass

I have a always been thrilled by looking at stained glass and fascinated by what people have achieved through this medium. Increasingly I found myself wanting to learn how to do it. So I signed up for an evening class with an inspired and inspiring tutor Ruth Adams who  now runs courses in Gloucestershire.

It was then I discovered Tim Cunliffe (http://www.timcunliffe.com), a hugely talented stained glass artist and every time I look at his work I think “I want to do that”. So I signed up for his evening classes at Mary Ward Centre in Bloomsbury and have been going for several years, creating some messy and unsuccessful attempts as part of my learning curve and I am well aware I shall never ever be able to do all I want. But I have now reached a stage where I can confidently make a panel as I wish; a measure of how I am doing is that people actually ask me to make pieces for them and my husband who is very protective of how our home is adorned, willingly inserts my efforts into window slots around the house – while muttering that it is beginning to look like Saulsolito in California.

So I am being so bold as to have a page of my work here in case you would like to take a look.
